About
Rocky Mountain Ultrasound courses are unique for a number of reasons. First, all lectures and hands-on session are taught by physicians who use ultrasound as part of their daily practice. The faculty of Rocky Mountain Ultrasound believes that clinician-performed ultrasound should be taught by clinicians. The student-to-faculty ratio is never greater than 5:1 and more than half of the course time is spent on hands-on education.
The faculty who lecture and teach the lab session are recruited because they are leaders in clinician-performed ultrasound. They have produced numerous ultrasound-specific educational and investigational publications and two are past-chairs of the American College of Emergency Physicians Ultrasound Section.
Lastly, all of the faculty are intimately involved in their home institution ultrasound programs. They are cognizant of the important issues confronted physicians who embark on starting an emergency ultrasound program and they are more than willing to share this information to participants of their courses.
